Welcome to the WOT universe. At WOT, the engine is an obsession. All our developments are done based on engine code. 9A2-DKK (GTS) is the internal engine reference for your Porsche 992 3.0T (GTS). Let us sublimate your engine thanks to homologated engine reprogramming.

Vehicles other than the Porsche 992 featured on this page also use the 9A2-DKK (GTS).

Introduction

The timeless sportiness of the Porsche 911 has been turning heads for 60 years now.

WOT Porsche Targa

Conserving the brand’s heritage, the 992 version represents the eighth generation and once again marks considerable progress in terms of embedded technology and connectivity. As proof, among other features the vehicle has an analogue dial representing the rev counter set between two digital screens. A way for Porsche to offer evolution without a revolution.

Progress does not stop there since it is also visible mechanically, where Porsche offers gearboxes that benefit from an additional ratio compared to the previous generation. Thus, the entry-level models (except for the 992 Classic) have an amazing 7-speed manual gearbox while the PDKII automatic gearbox has 8 gears and is eligible for hybridization (technology probably reserved for the future 992.2).

It should also be noted that this eighth generation is the first 911 to abandon the rear position of the engine for a rear-central position.

Engineer's note

Working on a Porsche is always a real pleasure.

While it was quite rare to work on the electronic part of Porsches in the past, Porsche has changed the game by offering turbocharged engines. Indeed, the modification of the engine calibration on an atmospheric engine is of interest only if it is restricted or if performance parts have been installed.

Since the 991.2 generation, the number reprogramming efforts on Porsche cars has increased significantly. And for good reason: the 3.0T engine fitted in the Carrera is identical in all respects to the one you will find in the GTS. A slight difference, however, separates them regarding the turbo reference.

On two occasions, the AutoTuner tool enabled accessing the data of this new Bosch MG1CP007 ECU. The first time from the box, the second time exclusively, via the OBD-II diagnostic interface. Once again, it was an opportunity for WOT to look into this exceptional engine and to propose a specific and high-performance development for the three versions of the engine.

Thanks to our engine optimization, the GTS version sees its power boosted to 580 horsepower and its torque reach 700 Nm with RON 98 fuel, an increase in power of 100 horsepower that propels this GTS to even higher performance than its big sister, the GT3.

Did you know?

The rear ventilation grille has a precise number of slats in reference to the 911. Whether counting from left to right or from right to left on the way to the third stop light, there is a perfect symmetry of 9 slats. The central brake light consists of 2 red strips, each corresponding to a 1, thus forming “911”.

There is more!

Due to the evolution of the design of the 992, it is no longer possible at first glance to differentiate a 4-wheel from a rear-wheel drive. As you probably know, the 4-wheel drive version previously had a red stripe running across the entire width of the vehicle, unlike the 2-wheel drive models. In the 992, all Porschess inherit the “4-wheel drive” design of yesteryear, but an element in the design subtly distinguishes the rear-wheel drive models.

Indeed, if the slats are lacquered in the center, it is a rear-wheel drive version, whereas if the inserts are chrome-plated, then it is a 4-wheel drive version.

The development process

We select the vehicle which combines the most significant criteria contributing to pollution, in particular: consumption, weight, air resistance (drag coefficient) and type of transmission. For this 9A2-DKK (GTS) engine, we opted for the Porsche 992 3.0T (GTS) model. If the vehicle successfully passes the numerous pollution tests, the official verification body can logically conclude that the other, less polluting models in the range will also obtain positive results. This is why, within WOT, such importance is given to the engine code.

What about the warranty?

At WOT, we invest heavily in research and development to provide you with an experience where performance and reliability go hand in hand. However, it is possible that during a routine inspection, the manufacturer has detected that your vehicle has undergone modifications. Even if the improvements made by WOT are homologated, this detection can lead to the loss of the factory warranty.

For this reason we have created an additional motor warranty, specifically designed to meet your highest demands.
