Welcome to the WOT universe. At WOT, the engine is an obsession. All our developments are done based on engine code. EA855 evo DAZA is the internal engine reference for your Audi TT RS 2.5 TFSI. Let us sublimate your engine thanks to homologated engine reprogramming.

Vehicles other than the Audi TT RS featured on this page also use the EA855 evo DAZA.

Introduction

5 cylinders engine

Audi’s adventure with five-cylinder engines began in 1976 with the launch of the Audi 100, marking the advent of the first car powered by a 2.3-litre atmospheric engine. This engine offered 115 hp and 136 hp power variants, creating a new era for Audi.

Over the years, this engine has evolved remarkably, giving rise to derivatives that have explored turbocharging technologies. It reached its peak in 1989 with the RS2 Avant, which yielded an impressive 315 hp.

Up to 340 hp

After a hiatus of some two decades, an all-new five-cylinder turbo engine, delivering 340 horsepower, made a triumphant return to the Audi line-up with the launch of the TT RS in spring 2009. It was at that moment that François became passionate about this model, then available only with a manual transmission, and began to work on his own electronic development project.

Engine of the year.
This new generation of five-cylinder engine merged the basis of the Audi TFSI combustion process with the latest advances in turbocharging of the time.

It was instantly a huge success, being awarded the title of “Engine of the Year” internationally seven times in a row.

Today, this engine continues to power such iconic models as the RS 3 Sportback and RS Q3.

It also plays a pivotal role in the major overhaul of Audi’s powertrain, illustrating Audi’s sports department’s ongoing commitment to combining the purity of the original with cutting-edge technology to shape the future of the automobile.

Double injection engine.

If the 340 hp CEPA engine, behind the return of the 2.5TFSI, was already renowned for its performance, there is no question that the engine that has truly made an impression is the DAZA.

Even outperforming its predecessor, the 367 horsepower CZGB, which has failed to seduce the community of engine reprogramming professionals, largely due to its injection system limitations. The DAZA, however, stands out for its dual injection (direct and indirect), offering a generous original power of 400 horsepower with the help of a new Bosch MED17.1.62 electronic management system.

The DAZA has a particularly strong meaning for the WOT team.

it was the engine that allowed François and Jan to meet during an ambitious project exceeding 650 horsepower, a first in the world of engine reprogramming at that time.

To stay true to this symbolism, we have made this engine our priority, offering the widest range of power from 450 to 550 horsepower in our most advanced version, the WOT3.

To achieve this exceptional performance on the DAZA engine, modifications were made to the air intake, intercooler and turbocharger.

These performance parts have been carefully designed and developed by our research and development team to meet the most stringent requirements in regard to performance and durability.

All these parts have successfully passed the homologation tests, ensuring that today we are able to offer you an optimization that will perfectly live up to your expectations.

The development process

We select the vehicle which combines the most significant criteria contributing to pollution, in particular: consumption, weight, air resistance (drag coefficient) and type of transmission. For this EA855 evo DAZA engine, we opted for the Audi TT RS 2.5 TFSI model. If the vehicle successfully passes the numerous pollution tests, the official verification body can logically conclude that the other, less polluting models in the range will also obtain positive results. This is why, within WOT, such importance is given to the engine code.

What about the warranty?

At WOT, we invest heavily in research and development to provide you with an experience where performance and reliability go hand in hand. However, it is possible that during a routine inspection, the manufacturer has detected that your vehicle has undergone modifications. Even if the improvements made by WOT are homologated, this detection can lead to the loss of the factory warranty.

For this reason we have created an additional motor warranty, specifically designed to meet your highest demands.
