Welcome to the WOT universe. At WOT, the engine is an obsession. All our developments are done based on engine code. EA888.3 DNU OPF is the internal engine reference for your Audi S3 2.0 TFSI - TSI. Let us sublimate your engine thanks to homologated engine reprogramming.

Vehicles other than the Audi S3 featured on this page also use the EA888.3 DNU OPF.

Introduction

VAG’s 2.0 TSI engine is undoubtedly the most recognized of all categories.

This sportier engine than its predecessor delights thanks to the power it develops.

It equips many of the brand’s vehicles, but the most widespread associated image refers to the Golf R and the Golf GTI (Grand Touring Injection). The latter, born in the mid-1970s, offers a new driving standard by combining civility and sportiness.

While the atmospheric engines developed up until the Golf 3 were not a hit in terms of optimization, the Golf 4 has reversed this trend by offering for the first time a 1.8-litre, 150 hp turbocharged engine.

A significant challenge.

The development of the 2.0 TSI EA888.3 engine has given stakeholders a hard time.

In the past, it was customary for VAG to entrust its high-end electronic engine management to the outfitter Bosch, recognized by all professionals for its rigor, reliability and performance.
Subsequently, the group ended its collaboration with Bosch, turning to equipment manufacturer Siemens for reasons of competitiveness and greater preparedness for the management of dual injection required to meet the Euro6 standard.

Assimilating a new type of ECU is no easy task as the operation differs and therefore requires a great deal of documentation, time and trial and error. These tests were certainly not helped by the first turbos which, according to their references, suffered from a design problem resulting from random breakages.

It took a few years before VAG recognized this defect and took the defective turbos under warranty (after breakage). Despite a difficult start, the engine, typical of the group’s gasoline engines, offers immense potential for customization.

This is an opportunity for WOT to demonstrate its exceptional expertise by way of parts that are both efficient and reliable.

The results were quick to come: thanks to WOT reprogramming, the engine now develops more than 350 horsepower and an impressive torque of 500 Nm, radically transforming the vehicle.

The engine’s responsiveness is remarkable, giving the vehicle a pleasant liveliness while maintaining its comfort.

The result is a perfect balance of power and control, making this transformation an exceptional driving experience.

The development process

We select the vehicle which combines the most significant criteria contributing to pollution, in particular: consumption, weight, air resistance (drag coefficient) and type of transmission. For this EA888.3 DNU OPF engine, we opted for the Volkswagen Golf 2.0 TSI OPF model. If the vehicle successfully passes the numerous pollution tests, the official verification body can logically conclude that the other, less polluting models in the range will also obtain positive results. This is why, within WOT, such importance is given to the engine code.

What about the warranty?

At WOT, we invest heavily in research and development to provide you with an experience where performance and reliability go hand in hand. However, it is possible that during a routine inspection, the manufacturer has detected that your vehicle has undergone modifications. Even if the improvements made by WOT are homologated, this detection can lead to the loss of the factory warranty.

For this reason we have created an additional motor warranty, specifically designed to meet your highest demands.
